Muse Episode 5 - Deeper

Adriana glanced up at the clock, a heavy sigh escaping her lips as she realized it was time to head back home. With a bitter taste in her mouth, she gathered her things, reluctantly accepting the fact that she had no choice but to return after spending three wonderful months working alongside Seth and their colleagues. Adriana couldn't help but feel anxious about what awaited her back in her hometown - the same old routine, the same boring job, and the same dull people. As she made her way towards the door, Seth called out to her, his voice filled with concern.

Adriana, wait!" he called out, rushing over to catch up with her. "Before you go, can we please finish what we started on the project?" he pleaded, his brow furrowed in worry. Adriana paused, knowing very well how important this project was to Seth, and how much he relied on her expertise. Seth had become like a brother to her during their time together, and she couldn't bare the thought of leaving him in the lurch.

Alright, let's do it," she conceded, turning back to face him. As they settled back into their workspace, their minds raced with ideas and strategies to ensure they delivered an outstanding piece of work. The hours flew by, their intense focus on the task at hand pushing everything else to the background. It wasn't until the early hours of the morning when they finally called it quits, both exhausted but also satisfied with a job well done.

Elsewhere, Maitland sat hunched over her keyboard, struggling to meet the looming deadline. She could feel the pressure mounting as time began to run out. Clicking through to her email, she found a message from their professor, reminding them of the imminent due date. With a groan, she got back to work, determined not to let her classmates down.
